As a Senior Backend Engineer, you’ll join us at the ground floor and help shape the architecture, performance, and scalability of our core systems. This isn’t just a backend role — it’s an opportunity to build a real product, from infrastructure to production, alongside a tight-knit, mission-driven team.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs.
- Own feature development from concept through delivery — and into production.
- Solve real-world performance bottlenecks and scale challenges as we grow.
- Collaborate closely with front end engineers, product designers, and security experts.
- Contribute to a strong engineering culture of learning, ownership, and technical excellence.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of backend engineering experience.
- Strong command of Python, Go, or a similar backend language.
- Production experience with at least one cloud provider (GCP, AWS, or Azure).
- Experience working with databases — ideally MongoDB and relational stores.
- Familiarity with containerized environments and deployment (Kubernetes is a plus).
- Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, Pulumi) — advantage.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive, collaborative mindset.
- Passion for clean code, strong architecture, and secure design.
